I have almost a whole drawer of my filing cabinet filled with various magazine clippings and other printed information which I rarely, if ever, look at. I wonder what will happen if I toss it all in the blue box?

Re: Organizing your Goal Setting for September

Elaine, I like the way you organized your thoughts. Whenever we fill our schedule or our space with things that don't add value to our lives, we risk shutting out other possibilities.

Re: How do Entrepreneurs take a Vacation?

Funny how we think the world will collapse when we are not around..yes that ego thing a funny!
I just got back from a LOOOOOOG 2 week vacation. Now I am ready to tackle new projects with renewed energy.

Re: How do Entrepreneurs take a Vacation?

I've only taken one "real" vacation since I started my business. I made sure all my regular clients knew I'd be unavailable, and lined up another VA to handle anything urgent that came up while I was gone. Much to my amazement, the world did NOT come to a crashing halt without me! In fact, my backup didn't receive one call or email when I was gone! Other than the blow to my ego :) it was good to know that solo entrepreneurs CAN take vacations and get away with it!

Re: WHY NB : The PEOPLE of Course!

Thanks @virtuewelle I love that we have connected on Skype and had some real connections. You get out there to meet and connect with others face-to-face ....and you report back to us! Thanks for that. I believe, that today there is an over-focus on social media at times and your work serves as a reminder to maintain a balance in our lives. (Oh btw, I am grateful for Skype and video-calling, as it is the next best thing to face-to-face. LOL!)
Lesley J. Every Sunday for quite a while now, I have a cook day. I make meal items for the week to come. For example last Sunday I made tuscan chicken with penne pasta, porkchops with cream of mushroom soup. The main part of suppers were cooked and I only had to steam veggies or make rice when I got home...my cook days help keep us on track....my little sanity saver.

Re: Organization is the Foundation of all Growth

There have been times when I've had opportunities for work that I could do but that didn't really interest me. It was a little bit scary to turn it down, but in every case, shortly afterwards I received another opportunity that I was genuinely passionate about, and if I'd said no to the first one I probably wouldn't have had room in my schedule for the new one! This isn't directly related to the topic of your post, but it does fit in with the concept of letting things go to make room for something better. Great post, Elaine!

Re: Organization is the Foundation of all Growth

Thanks Kim...it came from years of experience with clients and how clutter can be so harmful in many ways.

Re: Organization is the Foundation of all Growth

Excellent post Elaine, great insight into how clutter effects us all.
